The Houston Rockets blows a 26 point lead and loses 99-98 to the Boston Celtics last night. Then turns around and lose 121-103 to the Washington Wizards (tonight). The loss sends the Rockets to their fifth straight. Putting them 2.5 games behind the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference.
Otto Porter led the Washington Wizards with 26 points. Bradley Beal added 21 points and John Wall chipped 17. As the Washington Wizards snapped back from a 113-99 loss to the Atlanta Hawks. The Wizards shot 18-36 from behind the three-point line (50%), and 47-88 (53%) from the field.
Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets got Chris Paul back tonight (after sitting out for three games with a groin injury). However, they had to play without their starting center Clint Capela and reserve center Nene. They used Ryan Anderson at the center position and was outrebounded 48-38. The Rockets also shot a miserable 29% (14-48) from behind the three and 42% from the field.
James Harden led the Rockets with 20 points. Gerald Green (who just recently signed to the Rockets) came off the bench to add 18 points, and Eric Gordon chipped in 16. As the Rockets suffered their worst of the season.
