Lebron triple double not enough

Lebron James 29 points 10 rebounds and 13 assists just wasn’t enough as Cleveland fell 112-107 to Brooklyn. The Cavaliers had to face the Nets without Derrick Rose, Dwyane Wade, and Isaiah Thomas (injured).

Lebron James was used at the point guard position and did a good job running the offense. But his team had problems keeping up with a young Brooklyn Nets team. Brooklyn controlled the pace of the game.Which allowed them to put up 91 shots (from the field), and a franchise high 46 three-pointers.

Cleveland fell behind by as much as 14 points and needed a fourth-quarter 13-0 run to get back into the game. After storming back and taking a two-point lead, the two teams battled back and forth (exchanging the lead).

However, the biggest play  of the game may have come when Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie. Hit a three-pointer way beyond the arc (on JR Smith)with just 45 seconds left in the game. Giving the Nets a two-point lead.   Jr Smith then missed a wide-open three-pointer. That would’ve  given the Cavs, back the lead and the rest is history.

Kyle Korver scored 22 points. Jeff Green added 18 and Kevin Love chipped in 15 points and 12 rebounds. No Cleveland Cavalier player (other than Lebron) scored more than 5 points in this game.

The Brooklyn Nets had to play without their star player De Angelo Russell. Who sat out with a sore knee. Spencer Dinwiddie replaced Russell and finished with, a team and career-high 22 points. Allen Crabbe and Ronald Hollis Jefferson both scored 19 points. De Marr Carroll scored 17 and Caris Levert added 10 points. As the Brooklyn Nets went to 3-2 and remain unbeaten at home.

The Nets will face the New York Knicks Friday night. The Cavaliers will meet up with New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday night. The Cavs is hoping to get Derrick Rose back for the Pelicans game.
