According to reports, the NBA has approved a deal that will move the NBA trade deadline up from February 23 (which was four days after the NBA All-Star game) to February 10th (which is 10 days before the all-star game).
Historically, NBA trade speculation’s has stolen some of the thunder from the All-Star break. With that said I think it’s safe to say that the NBA couldn’t been happy with the fact that some of their fans were more concerned with whether or not a player was about to be traded, then they were about all star weekend. This new deal will ultimately put fans minds to rest more than a week before the break, that way the talk of break won’t be is such and such about to be traded.
This new deal will ultimately put fans minds to rest (more than a week before the break), so instead of talking about the latest trade rumor, the NBA and their fans can just focus All-Star weekend.
