Karl Anthony Towns fell and hurt his wrist with just five minutes left in a 116-111 win over the Utah Jazz. This was the same wrist Towns fractured at the end of last season, which caused him to miss the final 12 games.
Towns was still able to reentered the game after the injury but played the role as an decoy. He admitted he was in a great deal of pain, but was able to stick it out for the betterment of his team.
After being examined x-rays revealed that Towns suffered from a wrist dislocation and no surgery is needed. The Timberwolves will now monitor Towns on a week to week basics until he returns.
