If the Brooklyn Nets is serious about competing for an NBA Championship, they’re going to have to find a third player who can consistently put the ball in the basket. Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving is not going to be able to put this team on their backs and bring an NBA Championship to Brooklyn without help.
For instance, Kyrie Irving had a bad game against the Atlanta Hawks. He shot 6-21 from the field, and other then Kevin Durant, (who had 28 points), there was no one else on the Brooklyn roster who could pick up the slack.
Many thought Caris levert could be that third scorer that the Brooklyn Nets desperately needs. However, Caris is more of an all around player who can do many things good, but nothing great!.
Which is why the Brooklyn Nets need to go after Zach LaVine. Zach is someone who may not be the worlds greatest shooter, but he’s someone who knows how to put the ball in the basket.
He averaged 25 points last season , 23 points in the 2018-19 season, and is averaging 22 points (so far) this season. Putting him alongside two scorers like Durant and Kyrie will give the Nets that triple threat they desperately needs.
